Newsletter Terms
The rules of our newsletter: you give us an email address, we send you news about Monasterium, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
General provisions
These are the rules of our newsletter service (the "Newsletter"): the rules of service (regulamin) that Polish law requires for services provided by electronic means (Article 8 of the Act of 18 July 2002 on providing services by electronic means).
The Newsletter is provided by ("we", "us"):
Cyryl Szmit The Four Forces StudioGarbary 64, 61-758 Poznań, Poland
NIP 7831827237
REGON 387565311
You can reach us by post at the address above or by email at contact@4fs.dev.
"You" means anyone who signs up.
The service
We send you news about Monasterium and The Four Forces Studio by email, free of charge:
- Major news: one email per event, for example when the Steam page goes live, when the release date is announced, when there is a demo, or when playtests open.
- Devlogs: news from development, at most once a month.
If there is no news, we send nothing.
We send the Newsletter through a mailing service, Sender (UAB Sender.lt).
Technical requirements
To use the Newsletter you need:
- an active email account that can receive mail;
- a device that can receive email, and access to the internet;
- a web browser, to use the sign-up form on 4fs.dev and to confirm your sign-up.
Signing up
You order the Newsletter by:
- entering your email address in the sign-up form on 4fs.dev,
- clicking "Subscribe" under the sentence by which you consent to receive the Newsletter by email and to Sender recording opens and clicks (the form links to these terms, which apply from then on),
- opening the confirmation link in the email we then send you, and pressing "Confirm my subscription" on the page it opens.
That confirmation concludes the agreement for the Newsletter between you and us, for an indefinite period, and the letters start. If you do not confirm, there is no agreement and we send you nothing more. The Newsletter is meant for people aged 16 or over.
Your obligations
You must not provide unlawful content through the sign-up form or in replies to our letters, and you must not sign up an address that is not yours.
Risks, and what we put on your device
Email is not a perfectly safe channel. Someone can fake a sender's address, messages can be read in transit where encryption is missing, and links in emails can lead to fake pages (phishing). So:
- We will never ask you for a password, payment or bank details by email.
- Our letters come only from an address on the 4fs.dev domain. If one looks odd, do not click it: forward it to contact@4fs.dev and we will check.
- Keep your email program and browser up to date, and use a spam filter.
The Newsletter installs no software on your device. Each letter contains a tiny image and links that pass through Sender's address campaign-statistics.com on their way to 4fs.dev, so Sender records whether you open it and which links you click; the link in the confirmation email is tracked the same way. You agree to this when you click "Subscribe". To block the image, turn off automatic image loading in your email program. More in the Privacy Policy.
4fs.dev itself stores no cookies or other data in your browser; see No cookies and no tracking on the site.
Unsubscribing
Every letter tells you how to unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time, for free and without giving a reason:
- click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any letter, or
- email contact@4fs.dev and ask us to remove you.
The agreement ends as soon as you unsubscribe or we act on your email.
We may stop the Newsletter altogether; we will tell subscribers by email at least 14 days before the last letter. We may also remove an address that keeps bouncing, or one signed up against these terms.
Complaints
You can send complaints about the Newsletter by email to contact@4fs.dev, or by post to the address above. Please include the email address you signed up with and a short description of the problem.
We reply within 14 days of receiving your complaint, by email unless you ask otherwise. This does not limit any other rights you have as a consumer.
Your personal data
Giving your email address is voluntary, but we need it to send you the Newsletter. How we handle your personal data, how long we keep it, and your rights under the GDPR, including the right to complain to the supervisory authority, are in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for an important reason: a change in the law, a change in how the Newsletter works, or a change of mailing service. We will announce the change on this page and email subscribers at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree with it, unsubscribe before then; nothing changes for the letters you already received.
Final provisions
These terms are available free of charge, in a form that lets you save and reproduce them, at https://4fs.dev/terms/, before you sign up and at any time after. To keep a copy, use your browser's Print or Save as PDF.
These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of that country's law that cannot be waived by agreement.
